Hong Kong News-Expo 6th Anniversary Celebration: Commemorative Stamp Design Competition

Theme

The Hong Kong News-Expo is organising a commemorative stamp design competition and seeking a design that can represent the 6th anniversary of the News-Expo that includes news-related elements, such as newspaper, radio, television, etc. The competition aims to inspire students to learn about the history and development of journalism industry in Hong Kong as well as objective and comprehensive professional news, in order to enhance their media and information literacy.

Aim

The Hong Kong News-Expo is celebrating its 6th anniversary. Since its opening, we have showcased the history and development of journalism in Hong Kong through exhibitions, activities and competitions. We aim to foster public recognition of the news profession by revitalising the former Bridges Street Market into an exhibition-and education facility with news as the main theme. The News-Expo is organising a commemorative stamp design competition in order to encourage students to unleash their creativity and design a stamp with news-related elements. The winning entries will be displayed in the News-Expo and have a chance to become the official stamp for the Hong Kong News-Expo.

Groups

Primary group – Primary 1-6

Lower secondary group – Secondary 1-3

Higher secondary group – Secondary 4-6

Tertiary group – Diploma & above
