The Hong Kong News-Expo celebrated its 6th anniversary today (January 18) and invited Mr Paul Lam Ting-kwok, Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, to officiate the celebration event and engage in a dialogue with Ms May Chan Suk-mei in the anniversary forum.

The Hong Kong News-Expo organises a commemorative stamp design competition to encourage students to unleash their creativity and design a stamp that can represent the 6th anniversary of the News-Expo with news-related elements. The competition aims to inspire students to learn about the history and development of journalism industry in Hong Kong as well as objective and comprehensive professional news, in order to enhance their media and information literacy.
香港新聞博覽館與一群本地導賞愛好者合作推出「香港報業尋蹤」導賞團，帶大家時光倒流，走訪中上環區的活化歷史建築，認識昔日街道的報業和印刷業，再到訪新聞博覽館，了解香港新聞業的發展和歷史。首場免費導賞團將於3月8日（星期六）舉行，詳情如下：
The Hong Kong News-Expo is collaborating with a group of local docents and organising the “Tracing the Hong Kong Newspaper Industry” guided tour. We will take everyone on a journey back in time to explore the revitalised historical buildings in the Central and Sheung Wan areas, learn about the newspaper and printing industries in the past, and visit the News-Expo to understand the development and history of the Hong Kong media industry.

The Hong Kong News-Expo held its “Sixth Anniversary Commemorative Stamp Design Competition Awards Ceremony” and the “New Opportunities in Financial Development and New Path Enabled by Technology” forum on April 5, and invited Mr Paul Chan Mo-po, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR to officiate the ceremony and speak at the financial forum. The event attracted around a hundred guests from the education, media and other sectors.

近年騙案不斷上升，騙徒手法層出不窮，市民如何減低受騙風險？香港新聞博覽館將於8月9日 (星期六) 舉辦專題講座，請來警務處助理處長 (公共關係) 陳思達先生及警務處商業罪案調查科反詐騙協調中心警司李蔚詩女士講述最新網絡及電話騙案手法，提升市民防騙意識。
第15屆全國運動會將於11月舉行，本港將承辦八個競賽項目，香港新聞博覽館於8月16日 (星期六) 舉辦專題講座，請來香港體育學院主席鄧竟成先生、體育專員蔡健斌先生、全國運動會統籌辦公室主任楊德強先生及兩位現役及退役精英運動員，分享香港體育發展前景及由兩名運動員講述如何克服困難。
香港新聞博覽館在8月30日舉辦題為「香港新聞傳播教育的現況與前瞻：不同院校的規劃」的公眾講座，邀請香港中文大學新聞與傳播學院高級研究學者蘇鑰機教授、香港浸會大學傳理學院新聞系系主任李文教授、香港樹仁大學新聞與傳播學系專業應用副教授蘇啟智先生、香港大學新聞及傳播研究中心前總監陳婉瑩教授及香港恒生大學傳播學院副院長兼實務教授趙應春教授、講解各校新聞與傳播學的發展現狀以及對未來的展望。
據統計，目前香港每五位社區長者中，就有一位患有輕度認知障礙。預計到2036年，全港認知障礙症患者人數將攀升至28萬人，情況嚴重。適逢9月21日是「世界認知障礙症日」，香港新聞博覽館於9月20日 (今天) 舉辦「拆解認知障礙症：從預防到應對」講座，邀請香港大學梁顯利基金社會工作及社會行政學教授林一星教授，以及伊利沙伯醫院老人科顧問醫生陳龍達醫生分享香港認知障礙症的最新發病情況、診斷與預防方法，並講解照顧者可如何識別家人患病跡象及妥善照護患者。
全球暖化下極端天氣愈見頻繁，颱風、暴雨及酷熱天氣為本港帶來挑戰。香港新聞博覽館於11月8日（今天）舉辦題為「極端天氣的影響和應對」的公眾講座，由香港天文台前台長、香港科技大學環境及可持續發展學部客席教授岑智明先生與大家討論極端天氣帶來的問題。
